Donate Explore our routesOur overview
Chandra Kafle Foundation is a community-led organisation in Nepal. We start with what a village already has (its people, its land, its skills) and help it grow from there, through four programs that reinforce one another.
Our mission
To give families in the districts we serve steady access to learning, basic healthcare, fair livelihoods and a healthy environment, delivered with local volunteers and public partners.
Our vision
Communities that can look after their own children, health and land, and that pass that strength on to the next generation.
Our four programs
Education, health, livelihood and environment. Each one has a reach goal, and we report progress openly in the tracker below.
What guides our work
- Community first
- Transparency
- Local ownership
- Respect for elders and mentors
- Service without show

Founder and CEO
Chandra Kafle
Digital strategist, IT professional and writer from Arjunchaupari, Syangja
It is a family that finally hears its own name called, a young person who finds a platform to be heard, and a village that sees its own strength reflected back. This is what inspires Chandra Kafle Foundation.
I come from Arjunchaupari, a village in Syangja, in Gandaki Province, and I carry its lesson with me: a community's strength is its people, and most people need only one door opened to walk through. Everything I have built, in technology, in writing and now in this foundation, grows from that belief.
My profession lives in the digital world. As a social media manager and IT professional, I help public figures, journalists and public leaders build an online presence that is verified, secure and trusted. That means strategy, search visibility and protection against impersonation, so that an honest voice can reach people without being silenced or copied. More than 60 high-profile accounts have been verified through this work, but the number was never the point. The point is that the truth should be easy to find.
Alongside technology, I write. My Nepali poems and essays have appeared on Onlinekhabar and Setopati, and writing taught me to listen to the quieter parts of our society, the stories that rarely trend.
Chandra Kafle Foundation is where these threads meet. Through education, health, livelihood and the care of our environment, we want to turn small efforts into lasting opportunities. We are grateful to our mentors, our board, our volunteers and every well-wisher who has walked this journey with us. Our commitments will not end with words. Volunteers, supporters and partners are who we rely on, and I hope to have your support in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Chandra Kafle
